Here are some additional notes about using Jabp on a UIQ2 & UIQ3 smartphone3.

1. Installation. Follow your device's instructions for installing either JabpUIQ2.sis or JabpUIQ3.sis. If all goes well, you will see Jabp appear in the Applications list on your smartphone.

2. Setting Preferences. I have set Jabp's preferences to the settings that I use on my own UIQ device. You may wish to experiment with different settings. See the Help file for details.

3. The GUI has been optimised for UIQ3 devices and the PC. On UIQ2 devices the GUI is rather slow and a bit quirky, for example extra re-draws of the screen. An earlier version of Jabp - version 1.14 - is still available which uses an alternative GUI, and UIQ2 users may prefer this.

4. UIQ3 users can share Jabp data directly between their PC and their smartphone. This is quite useful! For further details, see section 3.1 of the User Guide.

5. UIQ3 users MUST install Jabp into Phone Memory. It will not run from the memorystick.

6. Jabp will not run on the W950i as it does not include the appropriate Java runtime.
